Master John McIlvaney VII Degree

We are extremely proud of newly promoted Master John McIlvaney in gaining his 7th Degree Master title yesterday. Master McIlvaney began training in 1980, having trained for over 40 years in Taekwon-Do yesterday’s promotion was a culmination of years dedication to Taekwon-Do and his training.

Congratulations go also to Master Eric James and Master Douglas Scott both from Nairn who were also promoted to 7th Degree Master alongside him.

All three candidates had been preparing for this moment for a number of years, with their test originally planned for April 2020, and moved numerous times since due to the on going affects of Covid. However they all persevered and continued with their endeavours to work toward this auspicious promotion.

Their grading was conducted by Honourable Grand Master Thomas MacCallum IX Degree (Scotland) and Grand Master Frank Vanberghen IX Degree (Belgium), in Livingston on 11th December 2021.

A special mention to Master Heath Denholm VII Degree for his assistance in the lead up to, and during the grading itself as both training & grading partner.
